14 New Blessings

It was wonderful to meet most of you at Parent Night on Tuesday.  I look forward to working with your child this school year!  What a great first week of school we had together.  We played silly games to get to know each other, practiced making math mountains, dissected seeds, begin the writing process, and started picking out books for our book boxes.  We are quickly getting back into the routine and procedures of school!  In the four days I've spend with this second grade class I could describe it as lively, compassionate, and God-loving!  I am looking forward to the many weeks of learning and growing with your child.

Welcome to Second Grade

Dear Parents,

I'm looking forward to a wonderful year and have been in prayer over your children and our new beginnings together! 

Communication in first grade will primarily be accomplished through this blog.  Please take a moment to "Follow by Email" (found on the right side of the Blog).  By signing up to "follow by email," you will be sent an email of each post every time a new post is placed on the blog, always keeping you abreast on current information.  Also, I suggest bookmarking this blog on your toolbar, where you can refer to this fluid piece of communication.

In addition, a Google Calendar is embedded on this site (also found on the home page of my HC website.)  This calendar will highlight due dates, tests, field trips, etc.   I'm hopeful that this will prove to be a beneficial tool for those looking for quick reminders. 

Parent Partnership Night (Meet the Teacher) is Tuesday, August 26, at 7:00pm.  Please make every effort to attend.

This year will be full of growth and new experiences for your child.  I am thrilled to be apart of your child's second grade journey!
